Maple County Sheriff's Office

Pride • Integrity • Service

Summary

To uncover the story of the Maple County Sheriff's Office, we must start with its humble beginnings as the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. Founded in November 2022, along with the founding of (at the time) Concord State Roleplay, the BCSO was intended to be a cornerstone department of the community, but unfortunately fell into the background for most of the CSR era, due to overshadowing by the (then) Concord State Police and Spring Hill Police Department. We don't have any records of the BCSO's activity or popularity during this period, but many community members recall it being a relatively inactive department.

A few weeks prior to the rebranding of Concord State Roleplay to Maple County's Finest Roleplay, the BCSO started picking up the pieces it was previously lacking. The new sheriff, PrexyPlaysPF (referred to as Prexy from now on), started taking steps to revive the department, such as establishing new documents, creating new liveries and assets, and starting a payout system for deputies, in Robux. These changes sparked interest in the department, leading to an increase in activity and popularity.

With the rebranding to Maple County's Finest Roleplay in February 2024, MCFRP management encountered one problem with the rebrand: what to do with the Concord State Police. At the time, Maple County did not have a state patrol team in the game, and MCFRP management did not want to have the CSP share a team with another department. After some talks between DylanRobloxBuilds (referred to as Dylan from now on), the MCFRP owner and at the time colonel of CSP, and Prexy, the two decided to merge the CSP into the BCSO, which would become the Maple County Sheriff's Office upon rebranding. This merger created a more unified law enforcement presence in Maple County, and allowed the newly formed MCSO to take on a larger role in the community.

The MCSO continued to grow in popularity and activity throughout the MCFRP era, becoming one of the most well-known and respected departments in the community, and the department with the most members throughout most, if not all of the MCFRP era. The department was known for its strong leadership, dedicated deputies, and commitment to serving the community with pride, integrity, and service.

In September 2024, the current sheriff, Prexy, stepped down from his position at a time of need in the Maple County Sheriff's Office. Vague plans were made for a special election to be held in the near future, but Dylan was struggling to hire needed command staff in his capacity as acting sheriff. After talks between the MCFRP management team and Prexy, it was decided that Dylan would take over as sheriff of the MCSO. This move was met with mixed reactions from the community, but ultimately led to a more stable leadership structure for the MCSO during its final months of activity.

Despite many disagreements between Dylan and Prexy during the Prexy administration, minimal changes were made after Dylan's takeover as sheriff. The department continued to operate in a similar manner, with a focus on community engagement and law enforcement. Dylan did implement a few changes, such as slightly decreasing payouts for deputies to preserve the longevity of the payment program, and removing some rarely-used liveries, but overall the department remained consistent in its approach to law enforcement.

In March 2025, when Maple County's Finest Roleplay announced its closure, the Maple County Sheriff's Office was one of the departments most affected by the news. Many deputies were saddened by the news, and expressed their gratitude for the experiences they had while serving in the MCSO. The department's legacy lives on in the memories of those who served, and in the history of Maple County's Finest Roleplay. On March 18, 2025, the Maple County Sheriff's Office officially disbanded and ceased law enforcement responsibilities effective immediately. On this day, Dylan paid out all PTO hours to deputies at the full rate. Contributors to the department received an extra bonus due to a surplus of leftover funds. 557 Robux was distributed throughout the department, and the unused funds were split between Dylan and Prexy.
